Aces Move on to Cup Qualifier Monday, October 5th , 2009 The Las Vegas Aces proved to be too much to handle for the St. Louis Lions in the Play-in Series, and a sweep was the end result. Las Vegas punched its ticket to the Cup Qualifier on the strength of a 3-2 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 3-0. Las Vegas first baseman Dustin Denmark, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed St. Louis pitching to the tune of a .400 average, with a .500 on-base percentage.
