No Late-Season Magic Coming: Atlanta Out of Playoffs Friday, September 25th , 2009 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Atlanta Pilots has been extinguished, at least for 2009. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Pilots manager Andrew Scharbach issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. The Pilots have missed the playoffs 8 times in their 10 years as a Professional Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2004. |
