Red-Hot Runfola Scorches Coyotes Saturday, September 19th , 2009 It was a big day with the bat for Ian Runfola of the San Francisco Peanuts at Alpines Park as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat the Salt Lake City Coyotes, 1-0. After the game he said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes. 5 hits in 7 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story." At the end of the game Runfola had collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. And the Peanuts had won. Ian Runfola singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th, grounded out in the 13th and singled in the 16th.
