Blues Take Home 3-2 Win Over Toronto
|
John Jackson could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Toronto Titans lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the New York City Blues at Titans Fields. The Blues have hit the ground running, raising their record to 8-3. While it's still too soon to talk about New York City hoisting their 1st Pro Circuit Cup trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
New York City used a well-timed hit by Ray Pugh to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blues ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Pugh said.
