Keystones Deal Shamrocks 7-4 Loss
|
Keystones center fielder Bill Garcia put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Boston Shamrocks. Garcia was 2 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Philadelphia in the contest. Chris Roche, the winner, is now 2-0. He struck out 5 and walked 6 over 8.1 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Philadelphia goes to 7-4 with the win.
Garcia had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 splitter from Justin Picton, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Keystones a 2-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Garcia.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Garcia.
