Almost There: Winnipeg On Cusp of SPBC Classic Series Triumph After 4-3 Win
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of first baseman Dave Sewall, the Winnipeg Buffaloes stopped the visiting Las Vegas Rollers, 4-3, in Game 4 of the SPBC Classic Series. Sewall belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Buffaloes, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
There was more than one reason the Buffaloes beat the Rollers, but Sewall's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.
Sewall said his team "played with focus."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Goldeyes Park in Winnipeg.
