Carver, Empires Wallop Rollers in Game 4 of DCS
Southern California right fielder Matt Carver produced all the offense the Empires would need in the club's 15-2 win over the Las Vegas Rollers.

Carver went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6, while Southern California moved into a tie in the Division Championship Series. The Empires and Rollers are now even at 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Southern California used a well-timed hit by Ricardo Diaz to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Empires ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Mike Beck.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Vegas Stadium in Las Vegas.
