San Francisco Takes 1-0 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The San Francisco Peanuts started the Play-in Series in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the Houston Mavericks in a walk-off. San Francisco won, 4-3, behind a good day from starter Ron Clous. The right-hander threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which gave the Peanuts a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-5 series.

San Francisco got a knockout punch from Damani Moreno. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

After the game, San Francisco manager Larry Link applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Garibaldi's Grounds in San Francisco.
