Wilson Excels, But Aztecas Win
The inspired effort of Green Bay left fielder Steve Wilson was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Mexico City Aztecas. Wilson belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Luis Galdamez got credit for the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. The 5th-place Aztecas now have a record of 36-48.

Matt Tomasso went 2-2 with 2 singles for Mexico City. The 29-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mike Schraufnagel. It was his 15th RBI of the season.

"It was a good effort all around," said Tomasso.
