Miyares Rips 2 Homers in 6-3 Win
|
The Allentown Fleetwings beat the Ottawa Capitals, 6-3, at Fleetwings Ballpark. The win was due in part to first baseman Adrian Miyares, who slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Chris Roessler. He tossed 102 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Allentown, at 35-48, occupies last place in the East Division.
Chris Rossin, who finished 4th in the in batting average with .308 in 2007, aided the Allentown cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.
