Texans Sneak By Knights, 2-1
|
Los Angeles pitcher Manny Sanchez gave the Texans all they could handle, but in the end, Dallas left Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark with a win, 2-1. Sanchez allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8.2 innings. The Texans now own a record of 30-36.
The Texans were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 31-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Aubin landed a big blow. He turned a 2-1 fastball from Frank Velez into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark denizens into a frenzy and sent the Texans home with a thrilling 2-1 win.
Aubin attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
