Burns Hits Two Dingers, Blues Win, 8-4
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the New York City Blues and Philadelphia Keystones.
New York City left fielder Ryan Burns contributed significantly to his team's 8-4 win over the Philadelphia Keystones. Burns, who is on pace for 52 RBI this season, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Blues. Tyler Crimmins was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 6 walks and 5 strikeouts.
Burns had a key at-bat for New York City in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and gave New York City an early 4-0 lead.
