The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The Denver Cutthroats beat the Los Angeles Knights, 8-7, at Cutter's Cove. Denver center fielder Kyle Prater had the hot bat. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The loss makes Los Angeles 1-6.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tom Smolar in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off three-time All-Star David Gandarilla to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Prater.
