Blues Rally Late to Clip Philadelphia
The New York City Blues opened their 2009 season with a triumph over the Philadelphia Keystones at Blues Field. The final score was 8-7. New York City right fielder Dan Stricklin had a big game. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

The decisive blow was delivered by Willie Zamora in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Wright to win the game for New York City. The home crowd went nuts.
