Pilots Earn Late 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Atlanta Pilots and the Tampa Bay Thunder, pitcher Dan Frost was the difference between victory and defeat. The Atlanta left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Pilots win. With the win, Atlanta goes to 30-32, while the Thunder fall to 45-17.
Cory Lincke came through with a big-time hit for Atlanta. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Lincke.
