Miyake Stars for Thunder in 8-5 Win
A 3-RBI performance from Kengo Miyake, who finished 3rd in the PBC in doubles with 24 last year, helped the Tampa Bay Thunder beat the Las Vegas Aces, 8-5. Jon Flores was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 12 save opportunities. The Thunder have now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Darnell Phillips had a big 2-run home run for the Thunder in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Tampa Bay trailing 5-4 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a slider from 15-year veteran Curtis Regan and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Thunder on top, 6-5.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Miyake.
