Shamrocks Topple Cutthroats with Late Rally
The inspired effort of Denver catcher Ron Eagan was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Boston Shamrocks. Eagan was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Dal-soo Kim in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Luke Dickerson took the loss. Jon Snowden sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Tyler Ross took Denver hurler Luke Dickerson deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Shamrocks on top, 6-5. In all, Ross had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Ross, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
