Philadelphia Earns 3-2 Win
|
Starting pitcher Mike Ocasio gave the Philadelphia Keystones a rock-solid effort. The Honolulu, Hawaii native helped his team defeat the Tampa Bay Thunder, 3-2, at The Thunder Bowl. The win was credited to Roger Cobos in relief. His record improves to 9-8. Jon Flores took the loss. Philadelphia, at 38-50, holds down 5th place in the Atlantic Division.
Jhong-shun Xú came through with a big-time hit for Philadelphia. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Ocasio.
