Thunder catcher Matt Brown left his imprint on his team's 9-4 win over the Philadelphia Keystones. Brown went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Tampa Bay in the contest. John Hunter, who finished 3rd in the PBC in wins with 11 in 2007, was the winner. He's now 9-6. The loser was Chris Roche. With the win, Tampa Bay raised its record to 61-25.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Thunder grabbed the lead when Brandon Crosby rapped a two-out single. Tampa Bay was trailing 1-0, when Crosby hit a 2-run single off Chris Roche to put his team in front, 2-1.
"Enjoyed this one," Crosby told the Tampa Bay Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
