The Tampa Bay Thunder converted a terrific effort from starter Eric Parchman into a win over the Boston Shamrocks at The Thunder Bowl. The Thunder won the game by a final score of 7-2. The Thunder have an impressive 59-25 record.

Matt Brown had a big grand slam home run for the Thunder in the bottom of the first inning. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a sinker from Dustin Clark, who finished 4th in the PBC in wins with 10 in 2000, and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Thunder on top, 5-0.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Brown said. "And the same is true when you lose."
