Phillips Lays Hammer Down in 5-0 Win
|
The Boston Shamrocks got a stellar performance from pitcher Chris Phillips, who handcuffed the Tampa Bay offense en route to a win, 5-0, at The Thunder Bowl. The Shamrocks improved their record to 41-41 with the win over Tampa Bay.
Phillips delivered a quality start for Boston. The 6-foot-2 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 6 hits over 8.2 innings of work.
"Chris set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Boston manager Arlo Zimmerman.
