Houston second baseman Jorge Nunez helped his team beat the Dallas Texans, 11-2. Nunez, who leads the PBC with a .361 batting average, went 2 for 3 for the Mavericks. The Mavericks improved to a lofty 61-20.

In the top of the fourth, Rafael Angulo delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Houston left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Mavericks in front, 11-2.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Dallas manager Jesus Sanchez. "We got trounced."
