Atlanta shortstop Adam Howell was sensational. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Boston beat the Pilots, 6-5. After today's action, Boston sits at 36-38; Atlanta slips to 34-40.

The decisive blow was delivered by Josh Olson in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 29-year old left-handed pitcher D.J. Whetstone to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Olson.
