Knights Prevail, 2-1, Over New York City
|
Camelot was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Los Angeles Knights did just enough to sneak past the New York City Blues, 2-1, at Camelot. Los Angeles pitcher Andrew Schumacher, in particular, had a standout performance. David Gandarilla closed out the game, earning his 3rd save.
Los Angeles catcher Steve Abraham delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 1.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Abraham.
The Knights go to 24-31, putting them 7th in the Pacific Division.
