The Calgary Caracals got a sterling performance from designated hitter Rafael Tobar, but the Green Bay Braves still prevailed, 7-6. Tobar was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Green Bay reliever Marcos de la Rosa was the winner. His record is now 5-2. Pete Block took the loss. The Braves, at 40-34, have now won 5 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by Michel Penalver in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 36-year old right-handed pitcher Pete Block to win the game for Green Bay. The home crowd went nuts.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Green Bay manager Joe Sanchez.
