Quebec City got a strong outing from Rick Bowen as the Admirals defeated the Newark Eagles, 4-0, at Quebec City Grounds. The win for the Admirals raised their record to 38-33.

Zach Rentz had a big solo home run for the Admirals in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Quebec City leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from Tom Thompson, who is tied for 10th in the with a 2.92 ERA, and punished it. The result was his 25th home run of the season, which put the Admirals on top, 2-0.
