Buffaloes Stymie Vacaville, Take 2-1 Win

The Winnipeg Buffaloes, behind a great outing from Gouki Miyagi, who is tied for 9th in the in quality starts with 10, defeated the Vacaville Steelheads, 2-1, at Goldeyes Park. Danny Teague earned the save for Winnipeg, his 9th of the year. At 32-33, the Buffaloes find themselves in 4th place in the Central Division.
The Buffaloes got a big at-bat from third baseman Ellis Westfall. For the game, Westfall went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Winnipeg a 2-1 lead.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Miyagi.
