Riding the 2-hit performance of the 40-year old first baseman Seigo Yamamoto, the Mexico City Aztecas stopped the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 6-1. Ronnie Jacobs snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Dan Tremain suffered the loss. The Aztecas move to 25-35 with the win, while the Buffaloes drop to 30-30.

Wing-kit Chen had a big 2-run home run for the Aztecas in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Mexico City leading 2-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Dan Tremain and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Aztecas on top, 4-0.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Yamamoto. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
