Blues Field played host to some dramatic action.

The New York City Blues beat the Atlanta Pilots, 7-6, in 10 innings, in part because of designated hitter Malachi Thompson. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Hector Chairez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Jonathan Stephany suffered the loss.

The Blues got a clutch hit from catcher Josh Leavens. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blues.

"This place sure got loud," said Cole Hobson, the New York City manager.

New York City sits at 4-2 in the early going.
