Senators Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The Albany Senators besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Quebec City catcher Craig Lafer by beating the Admirals, 6-5, at Quebec City Grounds. Lafer was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Albany is now 30-28, Quebec City 32-26.
Albany used a timely hit from Kenny Sullivan to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Senators ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sullivan. "And not try to do too much."
