Eagles Rally Late to Clip Allentown
The Newark Eagles and Allentown Fleetwings played an entertaining game for Fleetwings Ballpark patrons.

The performance of Ryan Walker proved critical in helping Newark beat Allentown, 6-5. The Eagles right fielder was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2. Newark pitcher Ian Estes got the win. He's now 7-3. Shane Winnicki was tagged with the loss. Earning his 15th save of the year was Cody Reilly.

Had Jason Szpara not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Szpara hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Eagles.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Szpara.

The Eagles saw their record improve to 33-25.
