Empires Defeat Bruins, 9-6

Dave Shook did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Vancouver Bruins from losing the game, 9-6, to the Southern California Empires in 14 innings at Bruins Stadium. Shook was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Southern California has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Southern California needed the clutch hitting of Eddie Stevenson to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Empires on top, 9-6. For the game, Stevenson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 7 at-bats.
