The Vancouver Bruins had to overcome a big game from Saskatoon right fielder Kevin Raith to leave Moose Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-3. Raith went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vancouver is now 21-31.

Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Dave Fisher to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bruins on top, 3-2. For the game, Fisher had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Fisher told the Vancouver News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
