In a tight tilt between the Mexico City Aztecas and the Vacaville Steelheads, Josh Pizzo was the deciding factor. The Mexico City right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The last-place Aztecas sport a record of 21-29.

Alex Cosme had a big 2-run home run for the Aztecas in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Mexico City leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a splitter from 38-year old right-handed pitcher Phil Knobbe and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Aztecas on top, 3-0.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Pizzo.
