The Ottawa Capitals locked up a win at Braves Ballpark, knocking off the Green Bay Braves, 5-3. On the mound for Ottawa was right-hander Pedro Hernandez. He played a major role in the triumph. Picking up the save was Chris Kaplan, his 13th. Ottawa has now won 3 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Ottawa, had it not been for Emilio Ramirez, the 29-year old shortstop . Ramirez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Ottawa up, 3-1.
"Pedro made some big pitches when he needed to," said Capitals manager Mike House.
