Braves Win, 8-5, Extend Streak to 5 Games

The Green Bay Braves defeated the Saskatoon Moose, 8-5, at Braves Ballpark. Steve Wilson was a standout performer for Green Bay. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 4 he knocked in. Green Bay reliever Alberto Tapia picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Jose Garcia took the loss. Green Bay's record now stands at 23-24, placing them 5th in the Central Division.
The Moose had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Braves going into the bottom of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 35-year old first baseman Kazuya Tsukamoto came to the plate. Tsukamoto hit a run-scoring double on a 2-0 slider from Saskatoon hurler Jose Garcia. It was Tsukamoto's 5th double of the year.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Tsukamoto told the Green Bay Times.
