Canadians Dump Southern California, 4-2, to Win 5th in a Row
The Sherbrooke Canadians topped the Southern California Empires, 4-2, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Empires Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Sherbrooke pitcher and Caddo Mills, Texas, native Jon MacMillan. The win makes Sherbrooke 14-24.

Sherbrooke used a clutch at-bat from Mike Leeds to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Canadians ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Leeds called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
