Buffaloes Squelch Fleetwings Offense in Shutout Win
Starting pitcher Dan Tremain took care of business, helping the Winnipeg Buffaloes stifle the Allentown Fleetwings, 6-0. In 6.1 innings, Tremain surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Mhadi Hakizimana earned the save, his 1st, for the Buffaloes.

The Buffaloes got a big at-bat from catcher David Homeyer. For the game, Homeyer went 3-5 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Winnipeg a 1-0 lead.

"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Tremain.

Winnipeg, at 19-17, sits in 4th place in the Central Division.
