Calgary got a big-time effort from pitcher Sean Lee, but it wasn't enough to keep the Sherbrooke Canadians from winning the game, 4-3. Lee threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Sherbrooke reliever Jing Sa got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Pete Block was tagged with the loss. Sherbrooke is now 11-24, Calgary 14-21.

The decisive blow was delivered by Brent Pierce in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 36-year old right-handed pitcher Pete Block to win the game for Sherbrooke. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Pierce said.
