The Detroit Chargers scooped up a win at Ballpark of Vacaville, dumping the Vacaville Steelheads, 3-1. Eric McIntosh, who is tied for 5th in the in innings pitched with 64.2, was essential to his team's success. The Chargers move to 19-15 with the win, while the Steelheads drop to 21-13.

The 38-year-old McIntosh turned in a performance that had his younger teammates taking notes. McIntosh rang up 7 strikeouts and held the Steelheads to 2 hits over 7.1 innings. McIntosh is now 6-0 on the year with 52 strikeouts.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said McIntosh. "Successful pitchers do it."
