The Allentown Fleetwings defeated the Ottawa Capitals, 6-3, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Capitals Stadium. Allentown pitcher Steve Post had a standout performance. Allentown is now 12-18.

Allentown used the timely hitting of Ted Waltrip to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fleetwings on top, 6-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Nice win for us," said Waltrip. "Now we'll go after the next one."
