Sherbrooke first baseman Brent Pierce was instrumental in helping the Canadians triumph, 8-3, over the Ottawa Capitals. Pierce was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The triumph makes Sherbrooke 8-19.

With Sherbrooke leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Pierce hit a fastball from Miguel Moreno for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Canadians ahead, 3-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Pierce told the Sherbrooke Observer.
