Caracals Lose, 7-4, in 13
|
The Detroit Chargers stopped the Calgary Caracals, 7-4, in 13 innings at Chargers Field. The Chargers got a big game from Terry Hendrickson, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win for the Chargers raised their record to 15-9.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With one out, Hendrickson hit a fastball from Kasey Felton for a 3-run home run. The Chargers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I like winning," Hendrickson told the Detroit Gazette. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
