Buffaloes Rally Late to Nip Canadians
In a low-scoring contest between the Winnipeg Buffaloes and the Sherbrooke Canadians, 31-year old right-handed pitcher Sam Hopkins proved to be the difference. The Winnipeg right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Buffaloes win. The Canadians, at 6-18, have lost 4 straight games.

Josh Russell, who finished 5th in the in extra base hits with 44 in 2005, helped out the Winnipeg cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman went 3-4 with 3 singles.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Sherbrooke manager John Guzman.
