Big Day for Wallace as Eagles Down Buffaloes, 6-1
|
Newark catcher Johnny Wallace had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 6-1. The win gives Newark a record of 9-8.
Wallace had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 slider from Gouki Miyagi, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Eagles a 3-1 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Wallace.
"Winning never gets dull," said Wallace.
