Miyares Rips 2 Home Runs in 5-4 Fleetwings Triumph
|
Behind the hitting of Adrian Miyares, the Allentown Fleetwings stopped the Sherbrooke Canadians, 5-4. Miyares belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Fleetwings. Allentown pitcher Aidan Kelly got the win. He's now 3-1. Jon MacMillan was tagged with the loss. The Canadians, now 4-10, continue their poor start.
Eric Larremore had a big 2-run home run for the Fleetwings in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Allentown leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jon MacMillan and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Fleetwings on top, 5-2.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Miyares said.
