Texans Winners, 5-4, at Shamrock Grounds
|
Dallas beat Boston at Shamrock Grounds, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Steve Aubin. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Aubin picked up the win for Dallas, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 5-6. Billy Zehnder wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
Dallas used a well-timed hit by Willie Nolasco to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Texans ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"Steve kept his poise and got the job done," said Dallas manager Jesus Sanchez. "He was outstanding."
With the win, Dallas has a record of 18-26. Boston falls to 19-25.
