Dorek Bolesta had a good game, but he could not keep the Ottawa Capitals from falling, 7-6, to the Newark Eagles at Eagles Park. The Ottawa left fielder went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs in the loss. Cody Reilly, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. Newark is now 7-4.

Justin Scurto went 1 for 3 with a walk for Newark. The 28-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jamie Stewart. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
