Shamrocks Bridle Blackhawks, 4-3
|
The Chicago Blackhawks got a sterling performance from pitcher Robin Ollson, but the Boston Shamrocks still prevailed, 4-3. Ollson threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Harry Parker picked up the save, his 2nd. Boston goes to 3-1 with the win.
Boston used a well-timed hit by Zachary Bailey to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Shamrocks ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Bailey called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
