Shamrocks Capture 6-1 Win at Camelot
|
The Boston Shamrocks locked up a win at Camelot, knocking off the Los Angeles Knights, 6-1. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Chris Phillips. He played a major role in the triumph. Boston goes to 16-22, Los Angeles to 15-23.
It could have been a different outcome for Boston, had it not been for Joe Amero, the 29-year old catcher . Amero contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Boston up, 2-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Amero told the Boston Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
